Khartoum - The Second Economic Forum is due to be held at the end of October, at the Friendship Hall to deliberate the economic reform program and ways for enhancing the national economy.
The Minister of Finance, Ali Mahmoud Abdul-Rasoul underscored the importance of the Economic Forum which will be held at a time witnessing economic changes and developments in the country.
He considered the Economic Forum as an important step in the economic reform process which was adopted by the country, adding that the outcome of the forum will be included in the general budget for the year 2014.
The Minister of Finance stated that the Second Economic Forum will discuss a number of working papers on the trade balance, policies of the monetary sector, the financial policies, the basic infrastructures, the productive sectors, the role of the private sector in boosting development and the macro-economy.
He indicated that the forum will also evaluate the implementation of the three-year economic program and the macro-economic performance, adding that a symposium of the adopted economic and financial reform program will be held as part of the Second Economic Forum.
Specialists, concerned bodies, and prominent personalities, former and current finance ministers, university lecturers, and parliamentarians will take part at the two-day forum.
